NUTRITION MATTERS

Keep it simple…

Eat real food — have a variety of fruits & vegetables, and lean protein. Drink plenty of water.

HAVING A PLAN OF ACTION HIGHLY INCREASES YOUR ODDS OF HAVING SUCCESS in whatever you do

…especially in the kitchen

my nutrition

Nutrition plays such a vital role in performance. It is imperative to have a plan if you are looking to gain results, compete, lose weight, or just live a healthy lifestyle. I have been following Renaissance Periodization (RP) for about 5 years.

RP is an app template that is scientifically formulated to optimize nutrition and training. Each plan is individualized and offers the option to structure your meal timing for training days on which the training is done first thing in the morning and in every 3-4 hour interval later, all the way up to a late night session before bedtime.

The app is something you can download on your phone and have it with you at all times.

food tips

EAT REAL FOOD! Remember that supplements are there to support an already well-balanced nutrition program. They shouldn't be the foundation of your nutrition focus. Below are some helpful tips - especially for newbies.

  1. Keep it simple and repetitive - especially at first. Don't over complicate things with fancy recipes etc - crawl, then walk, then run.

  2. If you can, prepare in advance.

  3. Know at first you will make mistakes. It is a learning process. It is ok. You will get it.

  4. Just because you aren't making progress as fast as you think you should doesn’t mean you aren’t making progress. Stay consistent and keep going.

Below is an image of what the RP app looks like for a specific meal. For example, it will show you your target protein, fats, and carbs. This is an example of one of typical go-to meals.
